Sharing your links with other businesses who have similar content to yours or are apart of your community services is always a good idea.

Pay Per Click

MMN does not recommend Pay Per Click. This is one of the fastest and most expensive ways to get traffic to your site. If your website does nothing to begin establishing an ongoing relationship with your visitors then I am afraid PPC is not for you.

You will need to build a list from this traffic and you definitely need to communicate with that list. This is best done by providing valuable information that will satisfy their immediate needs. Then once they start to see results and you have established a trust with them they will start buying products or services from you.

This fact has been proven time and again to work effectively but only if you know how to work the traffic list you are building. Organic or natural search engine optimization is much more cost effective and produces by far better results.

Press Release

If you have just build a new website or finished rebuilding your old one you should have a press release written, release, and distributed. Make sure it has your desired keyword in the title and once again spread throughout the copy. The search engines will then pick this up but not only that it will also provide relevant links back to your site from various different news outlets online.
